There are two contrasting forces at play:  it’s a great time to be a buyer because interest rates remain at historic lows—in fact, jumbo loans that normally carry rates that are .5% higher are now priced the same as ‘conforming loans’—while overall market activity is quieting down—as it typically does—as we enter the winter holiday season.
