Although there are many reasons to live in Evergreen, the hiking trails are one of the first amenities our residents mention. The beautiful Colorado scenery and active wildlife can turn even a quick afternoon stroll into a wonderful outdoor experience. And since the mountains are so close, many longer hiking trails are only a short drive or even a short walk away.
Of course, there are other ways to explore the mountains than on foot. In addition to our hiking paths, we also boast a variety of Colorado mountain bike trails throughout Evergreen and the surrounding area. These trails range from beginner level to more advanced difficulty, so you can ride in an area that matches your skill level.
To help you settle in, we’re happy to provide you with a variety of hiking and mountain biking trail maps and resources. Whether you want to spend a day hiking deep into one of our national forests or prefer to bike along a mountain road, you’ll find the maps and guides you need here. Many of these hiking trails are located in or near the Evergreen area, which means you can start your excursion at nearly any time of day. If you prefer to stay close to the beaten path, don’t forget to check out one of Evergreen’s many parks and open spaces, including an off-leash dog park for your furry friends.
